We will meet at Vertex Climbing Gym on Saturday, August 4th at 10 am! A child under 17 day pass is $10, adult (if you are climbing) pass is $14. Wear comfortable, movable clothes. Harnesses ($2) and shoes ($3) can be rented at Vertex.
You may choose to stay, climb or drop your child off, just be sure to sign the waiver on the website if you drop your child off. We will climb until noon.

Hope everyone is having a fun and safe summer so far.
This is a very busy month for our family. Rather than having one gathering on the first Saturday of July, we are having several play dates over the course of the month. So far, we have scheduled Monday, July 9th at Forestville Park, at 4:00 pm, and Wednesday, July 25th at Howarth Park at 3 pm.

We had so much fun riding bikes last gathering that we will do it again! We’ll ride the Joe Rodota Trail again, meeting in the Sebastopol Hopmonk parking lot at 10 am on Saturday, June 2nd.

Also, JDRF Bay Area is hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday, June 3rd in Golden Gate Park. Tickets are $5. Looks like another fun event.
Joe Rodota Trail
Our May gathering will be strolling/ bike riding/ roller skating on the Joe Rodota Trail. We will meet in the Hopmonk Tavern parking lot at 10.
The Joe Rodota Trail is 2.8 miles of paved trail that runs along an abandoned railroad line. The trail is a segment of the West County Trail and offers an opportunity for families with young children to experience an outdoor outing for walking, bicycle riding, horseback riding, and roller skating.
We will be on the trail until noon. This is an opportunity to share mutual support and strategies for keeping ourselves and loved ones with type 1 healthy and happy. JDRF will treat us to a discounted rate at Safari West this Saturday, March 3rd. We will gather from 10-noon.
Safari West: The spirit of Africa in the heart of wine country.
In addition to much fun, there will be an Omnipod representative to answer questions and talk about that device.

This group has been meeting monthly for over a year. Our objective is inspired with/by mutual support (emotional and technical) of healthy living with type 1 diabetes. Whether you have type 1 diabetes or are a care giver or sibling of someone with type 1, we welcome you.
Join us for support, fun and ice skating at Snoopy’s Home Ice http://www.snoopyshomeice.com/ When: Saturday, February 4th from 12:30-2:30.
All ages and abilities welcome.
The fee for juniors and adults over twelve is $9.00, and $7 for children eleven and younger. Skate rentals are $3.00.

Saturday, January 14th from 10-12, we will meet at Vertex Climbing Gym. A local climber who has type 1 diabetes will share her experience as a climber, and teach belay safety techniques.
The cost will be $10 per youth climber, $12 for adults. You can rent a harness for $2, climbing shoes for $3. Wear comfortable clothes, bring snacks and water. You may drop off your child, as there will be type 1 diabetes aware parents on site. If you do so, please find and sign the waiver on the Vertex website and have your child bring it on Saturday.
